2010 marks the 5 year anniversary since my very first Winter Party Festival. A lot has changed in life and in the world, in those 5 years, but I'm glad to know that some of those best friends from the first one are going to spend it together with me yet again. We don't live in Minnesota any more, we haven't been working out like nazi's, even if still working out nonetheless, our lives have evolved os really the point. There's something nostalgiac about those days passed that I enjoy about Winter Party, but having moved on to "bigger and better" things, that's another role the circuit plays in our lives - a family reunion you actually want to go to! 

Roland spun the beach party that first Winter Party for me and my posse, and this sampler set is so very "textbook Roland" in its uplifting, vocal, and very miuch Winter Party energy.

Although we love the music of Offer Nissim and Peter Rauhofer tremendously, please keep in mind that their event on Sunday night of Winter Party is a for-profit "vulture" event that diverts monies from charities that desperately need it. Take advantage of an opportunity to hear something new, with DJ Boris @ Space's Terrace. Tracy Young will also be spinning! Here are a few Boris remixes to help give you an idea of the sound you can expect.

If you must attend the Offer/Peter event, I suggest that you negate any harm to the Festival by donating or purchasing a ticket for the sanctioned event anyway. You can even make the end result a net positive if you then give that purchased ticket to a person who would like to attend the event @ Space, but would otherwise not be able to afford to.

While you're at it, why not tell Peter how much it would mean to you and the community if he did the right thing and donated the profits from the event, to a local gay non-profit(s) of his choosing.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to witness first hand the impressive skill, concentration and creativity that goes into the process of remixing a song, start to finish, when Bryan was visiting LA this past New Year's weekend and decided to remix the Hardrive classic "Deep Inside" from right in my living room! We've only shared the teaser up until now, but we've kept you waiting long enough - I think you'll find it was worth the wait, as Bryan's energetic and revitalized interpretation of a true "oldie but goodie" is a definite keeper!
